i'm really an ipod freak. this post tells you about the features of them and the price. it's pretty interesting. it's another thing i'm obsessed with besides siggs.
apple came out with their first ipod, the ipod mini, on the year of 2001.it didn't take long to catch on to the fashion. it was a huge hit! it looked a lot like today's nanos, with the screen and the touch sesitive scrollwheel. they came in many different colors. steve jobs, ceo of apple, actually DISCONTINUED the mini, which caused a huge rage among everyone. they all thought it was the worst thing that could possibly happen! steve replaced them with the ipod nano 1g (first generation), but no one liked them as much! they look like the nano you have now, and their differences from the mini were that they had a sleeker look, they could carry more songs, and they came in only black and white. nanos like this are still on sale! steve was shocked that his followers really cared so much about how the ipod looked. he learned a very big lesson from that, which is why apple's new products look so fancy even if they're not even turned on. eventually people did catch on to this new ipod, but jobs still thought they would like it even more if he allowed colors on them, leading tot he ipod nano 2g, which carried more songs and came in many more colors. sure enough, he got more sales. next, steve jobs thought that it would be cool if there was an ipod that was at a cheap price designed for kids. apple came out with a new ipod called the ipod shuffle that is only fifty dollars for 240 songs of memory, or sixty dollars for five hundred songs of memory. they're TINY and weigh only 15 GRAMS! they have no screen, just have buttons and switches for on-off, shuffle-play songs in order, and buttons that can pause, play, go to the next song, replay, go to the previous song, put the ipod on hold ( the mode when no matter what button you push it won't react), rewind, or fast forward. all those capabilities only need two switches and 4 buttons! now, you get songs on your ipod by downloading itunes. downloading it is free. you can name your ipod, and buy songs in two different ways: one is to stick your cd into the computer and put the songs on your ipod for FREE, and another is to go on the itunes shop (a shop of music that basically has everything in it), and buy songs for $0.99 per song. it has this feature called genius where you can click any song on your ipod, and it tells you what you'd probably also like if you like that song. an ipod is rechargeable, but eventually, after about 3-6 years of use (depending on how much you use it, it will last 3 years if you use it about 1 hour per day). i don't know too much about ipod touches and iphones, so i'm going to leave that out, but if you have any questions about ipods, PLEASE POST A COMMENT! if you have any comments, well, POST A COMMENT!!!
