Books to read

I have a few books that I read and you might like also. The best of them all is the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. There are six books in the first series, another six in the next, and five more in the next. It's about four clans of cats named ThunderClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and RiverClan. It's really interesting to see life from the cat's point of view. My favorite part is what they think about our life. They call us humans "TwoLegs", our cars "TwoLeg monsters", and our houses "TwoLeg nests". So a car driving down a street or "Thunderpath" would be "A TwoLeg monster roared down the Thunderpath with a TwoLeg in its belly, night eyes gleaming and jet black paws spinning furiously. The next book I reccomend is Holes by Louis Sachar. It's about a boy that finds some sneakers and takes them to go to a police station, but a police car catches him first and claims that he stole the sneakers, which apparently belonged to a famous baseball player, so he goes to this place called Camp Green Lake (I would have named it Jail Dig Holes)where every day you have to dig a hole five feet deep and five feet wide, and in the end there's a long escape story. I don't want to give too much away. I also reccomend the book Qwerty Stevens Stuck in Time with Benjamin Franklin. It's about a guy obsessed with computers named Qwerty (Look at your computer's keyboard and you'll see why) who has a time machine and makes Ben Franklin come over and he shows him all the really cool things he has and then goes back in time with him to see the Declaration of Independence. You should read some of these books, and if you like them, you should become a follower on my blog, http://www.chitchatbox-marc.blogspot.com so that you can get updated on what books you should read.

  2. Hi Marc,
Have read several chapters of Into the Wild, one of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, which you were right to recommend. Rusty, a 'kittypet' belonging to a Twoleg family, is attracted by the wild and runs away. He is accepted as an apprentice in the so-called Thunderclan, one of the rival groupings of fierce feral cats, after proving his courage and being given a new name, Firepaw, in recognition of his courage. Eager to help avenge the killing of another clan member, he is thrilled at the prospect of facing danger. I look forward to the rest of the book, and see that these cats are quite human in their friendships and dislikes.
