This is my version of the popular tale The Tortoise and the Hare.
Cheetah and Sloth were friends. They were always together, and though Cheetah found it annoying to always have to walk so slowly, he would never betray his friend. But one day, Hare came along. She remarked "I bet you're no faster than Sloth by now! You haven't been moving as fast as Tortoise for moons! "Really?" Cheetah lashed back. "I'll race Sloth and beat him by a few miles!" So, Cheetah and Sloth decided to race. Cheetah wanting to win the race, but not betray his friend, , decided to pad up a few steps and wait for Sloth. They kept on going like that. But by the end, Cheetah was still ambiguous about wether to win the race for Hare, or to lose for Sloth. He sat down to think, his mind on his thoughts, not on the race. When Sloth crossed the finish line, Cheetah didn't even notice! "Well, I'll win" Cheetah thought. "Hare might be right" Cheetah looked behind him to see Sloth's position. He couldn't see Sloth! He whipped his head the other way to see Sloth with a questioning look on. He had lost!
Moral: Plan ahead.
The head-on view of a fast-moving cheetah is impressive. I love the story about the race, and the moral strikes me as a good one to keep in mind: 'Think ahead'. The New iPod Touch: a powerful tool, which I will try out and experiment with. I'll let you know how it works out. Mandolins: I remember well and enjoyed hearing you play, and also noted that your instrument does not have the traditional shape. This innovation (when was it introduced?) presumably makes for somewhat easier handling. When you play, the sound is really beautiful. I find your information on the subject most interesting, and enjoy receing your blogs.
